Job Summary
- Melting: Plastic pellets are fed into a heated hopper and pushed through a rotating screw inside the extruder barrel to melt and mix the material
- Die Head: The molten polymer is forced vertically through a circular die, shaping it into a tube
- Inflation: An air ring blows air into the center of the tube, inflating it into a continuous bubble several times the diameter of the die
- Cooling & Winding: The inflated bubble moves upward through a collapsing frame, where nip rollers flatten it into a double layer of film before it is wound onto spools.
- Extruder: The motor and barrel assembly that melts, mixes, and pushes the polymer toward the die
