We are seeking a Mechanical Designer / Engineer to help design, develop, and support mechanical systems and products from concept through production.
The successful candidate will combine strong engineering fundamentals with practical design experience, creating solutions that are functional, manufacturable, cost-effective, and reliable. This role involves collaboration with manufacturing, project management, suppliers, and customers to deliver high-quality designs on schedule.
What You'll Do
- Develop mechanical designs, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.
- Create 3D CAD models and maintain engineering documentation.
- Perform design calculations and engineering analysis.
- Design for manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and cost.
- Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to source components and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of mechanical design experience.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as: VISI
- Strong understanding of:
- Mechanical design principles
- GD&T
- Manufacturing processes
- Material selection
- Tolerance stack-up analysis
- Ability to read and create engineering drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
