Groomer / Salon Manager – Dog & Cat Experience
Paws With Us Pet Grooming is seeking an experienced and dependable Dog and Cat Groomer / Salon Manager to join our team. This position offers varied hours and may grow from part-time to full-time.
Must have grooming experience and must provide pictures of work.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, professional grooming services for dogs and cats
- Complete bathing, brushing, clipping, styling, nail trimming and de-shedding
- Assess each pet’s coat, skin, behaviour and grooming needs
- Manage daily salon operations and appointment flow
- Answer and return phone calls, book appointments and assist clients
- Reschedule appointments when necessary
- Support and supervise groomers, bathers and other salon staff
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary salon
- Ensure equipment, lights and water are turned off and the security system is armed at closing
- Handle client concerns professionally and communicate clearly with pet owners
- Help maintain a calm, patient and positive environment for every pet
Qualifications:
- Professional dog and cat grooming experience is required
- Previous leadership or salon-management experience is preferred
- Confident handling pets of different sizes, breeds and temperaments
- Patient, compassionate and committed to animal safety
- Dependable, organized and able to work independently
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Available for varied hours, including some evenings and weekends
- Able to manage a busy salon while maintaining quality and attention to detail
