Company Overview
Pacific Earthworks is looking for a Skilled Construction Labourer to support large-scale bulk excavation, deep excavation, shoring, and slab preparation projects throughout the Lower Mainland. This position works closely with equipment operators and site supervision to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with bulk excavation, slab preparation, and backfilling operations.
- Support excavator operators during excavation activities.
- Install geotextiles, granular materials, and slab preparation materials.
- Assist with shoring, dewatering, and erosion control installations.
- Perform grade checking and site preparation.
- Spot heavy equipment and maintain safe work zones.
- Operate hand and small power tools.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bulk excavation, heavy civil, or related construction.
- Experience working around heavy equipment and active excavation sites.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Willing to work overtime and occasional weekends when required.
- Reliable, safety-oriented, and able to work well in a team environment.

- Class 5 BC Driver's Licence.
- Occupational First Aid Level 1.
- WHMIS.
- Fall Protection.
- Ground Disturbance.
- Confined Space.
- Telehandler or skid steer experience.
- Experience with grading, slab preparation, and shoring systems.
