We are currently seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Immigration Case Worker / Immigration Specialist to join our team immediately. This is an excellent opportunity for a career-focused professional seeking long-term growth within the Canadian immigration industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesImmigration Case Management
· Manage immigration files from client intake to final decision.
· Prepare, review, and submit applications including:
o Study Permits
o Visitor Visas (TRV)
o Work Permits
o Spousal Open Work Permits (SOWP)
o Post-Graduation Work Permits (PGWP)
o Bridging Open Work Permits (BOWP)
o Express Entry Applications
o Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP)
o Permanent Residence Applications
o Family Sponsorship Applications
o LMIA Applications
o Restoration Applications
o Refusal Reconsiderations and Reapplications
· Conduct client assessments and determine eligibility under current immigration programs.
· Prepare and review immigration forms, supporting documents, submission letters, SOPs, explanation letters, and application packages.
· Upload and manage applications through IRCC portals, including GCKey, Permanent Residence Portal, and other online platforms.
· Monitor file progress and provide regular updates to clients.
· Ensure applications are submitted accurately and within prescribed deadlines.
Client & Administrative Support
· Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the application process.
· Maintain accurate client records, case notes, document checklists, and follow-up schedules.
· Monitor shared inboxes and respond professionally to client inquiries.
· Communicate with government departments, embassies, educational institutions, employers, and other stakeholders as required.
· Prepare invoices, collect retainers, and assist with file administration.
· Coordinate appointments, meetings, consultations, and client communications.
· Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems while ensuring confidentiality of client information.
Research & Compliance
· Stay informed of changes to IRCC policies, immigration legislation, and program requirements.
· Conduct immigration research and review program updates to ensure compliance.
· Assist with procedural fairness responses, restoration matters, and refusal analyses.
· Support consultants and management with complex case preparation and strategic submissions.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Minimum 2 years of Canadian immigration case processing experience.
· Experience working in an immigration consulting firm, legal office, or immigration practice is strongly preferred.
· Strong knowledge of:
o Study Permits
o Visitor Visas
o Work Permits
o Express Entry
o Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)
o Permanent Residence Applications
o Family Sponsorships
· Experience handling LMIA applications and Permanent Residence files is considered a strong asset.
· Strong understanding of IRCC programs, procedures, and online portals.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Strong organizational, time-management, and file-management abilities.
· Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
· High attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to client service.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Compensation & Benefits
· Annual Salary: $37,000 - $42,000 (negotiable based on experience)
