Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and hospitality service within a vibrant environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with Micros POS are highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, managing cash transactions, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining food safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and cash handling
- Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, including taking orders and answering questions about menu items
- Ensure proper food safety and food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage cash register operations, including cashiering and basic math calculations for transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, glassware, and utensils in compliance with health regulations
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Serve food items when required, ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating a welcoming environment for all patrons
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Familiarity with Micros POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs effectively
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy hours to serve multiple guests promptly
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Experience in serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of responsible beverage service practices
