Job Overview
We are seeking a Lawn Technician to join our mowing team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing residential and commercial landscapes through various lawn care services. The Lawn Technician will utilize a range of tools and equipment to ensure high-quality results while adhering to safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors, develop technical skills, and contribute to creating beautiful, healthy landscapes. Continued employment in all four seasons is also available.
Responsibilities
- Grass Maintenance: Mowing large and small turf areas using walk-behind, stand-on, or zero-turn riding mowers.
- Detailing: Utilizing string trimmers (weed whackers) around trees, fences, and edges, and using edgers to create clean lines along sidewalks and driveways.
- Cleanup: Clearing clippings and debris from hardscapes using leaf blowers to ensure a professional finish.
- Turf Health: Aerating, dethatching, and applying fertilizers or pesticides (if licensed).
- Seasonal Care: Leaf removal in the fall, snow removal in the winter, and spring cleanups.
- Equipment Maintenance: Performing basic checks on oil levels, blade sharpness, and fuel; cleaning equipment after use.
Work Environment
- Outdoor Exposure: You will be exposed to high temperatures, pollen, dust, and noise.
- Safety Gear: Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including ear protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
- Schedule: Generally weekdays, but varies based on weather conditions. Some weekends may be required.
Experience with gardening and/or tree and shrub care would be beneficial.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
