Guildline Instruments Limited has been designing and manufacturing high-precision electrical measurement instruments for over 69 years. Our instruments are used in demanding calibration, laboratory, industrial, defence, and research applications where accuracy and reliability are critical.
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on technical expert with strong electronic troubleshooting ability. This is not an entry-level production role. The successful candidate must be able to read schematics, use test equipment properly, diagnose circuit and system-level faults, and follow written procedures accurately.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on electronic troubleshooting, test, repair, or calibration experience.
- Three-year Electronics Engineering Technologist diploma, Electrical Engineering degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical procedures, and test documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Proficient with DMMs, oscilloscopes, calibrators, power supplies, and other laboratory test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document test results, failures, and technical findings clearly.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electronic instruments and diagnose faults at the circuit, board, and system level.
- Perform repair, testing, verification, and calibration support.
- Maintain test equipment and working standards.
- Work with production, calibration, and engineering staff to resolve technical issues.
- Identify root causes of failures and document findings clearly.
- Follow written procedures and complete required paperwork accurately.
Preferred Experience
- Precision electrical measurement instruments.
- Calibration or metrology equipment.
- ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory environment.
- GPIB, RS-232, SCPI, or automated test systems.
- Low-noise analog circuits, power supplies, ADC/DAC circuits, reference circuits, bridge circuits, or resistance measurement equipment.

Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience and demonstrated technical ability.
The salary range is $55,000 to $75,000 per year.
