Job Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Bartender/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and beverage service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, taking food and beverage orders, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in restaurant settings, familiarity with POS systems, and knowledge of food safety standards are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately
- Take food and drink orders from guests, ensuring timely delivery
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas according to food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using proper cash handling procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests professionally and courteously
- Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and utensils as needed
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies
- Assist in setting up for events or special functions when required
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently while maintaining quality service
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender/server in a restaurant or food industry setting
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of food safety, handling, and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly
- Effective time management skills to handle busy shifts smoothly
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating bills accurately
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact with guests professionally
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and food industry best practices
