Full-Time | In-Ratio Leadership Role
Little Cubs Learning Centre is opening a second location in Teeswater with an estimated start in September, 2026. We are a Reggio Emilia–inspired organization grounded in the belief that children are competent, capable, and full of potential.
As we thoughtfully expand into a second location, we are seeking a steady, confident, and operationally strong Supervisor to lead daily centre operations with clarity, structure, and independence at our Teeswater location. Training and onboarding will be provided at the Port Elgin location for July and August.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a mature leader who thrives in structure, takes ownership of decisions, and values operational excellence.
You will oversee daily centre operations, ensure compliance precision, support staff accountability, and protect the integrity of our Program Statement and licensing standards.
You will work alongside a Pedagogy Lead who oversees curriculum and documentation. Your focus will remain on classroom operations, operational stability, regulatory excellence, and consistent team leadership.
You will report directly to the Director and operate within a clearly defined governance framework.
What This Role Owns
Operational Leadership
- Ratio based leadership role
- Oversee daily staffing and scheduling
- Maintain ratio compliance at all time
- Ensure organized, calm, and consistent centre operations
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
Licensing & Regulatory Excellence
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
- Ensure full adherence to CCEYA and Ministry requirements
- Prepare for and lead licensing inspections confidently
- Monitor and uphold health and safety standards
Staff Leadership & Accountability
- Conduct structured 1:1 meetings and quarterly observations
- Provide coaching while maintaining professional boundaries
- Address performance concerns clearly and confidently
- Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and professionalism
Family Relations
- Serve as first point of contact for day-to-day operational matters
- Resolve routine matters independently
- Communicate professionally and with clarity
- Conduct facility tours as required

Qualifications
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of ECE
- 3-5 years experience in a licensed childcare setting
- 1-3 years leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of CCEYA and Ontario licensing requirements
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification (current)
- Vulnerability Sector Check (current)

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
