Job Description & Responsibilities:
Woking Bird Restaurant is currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hard-working Full-Time Cook to join our kitchen team in Thunder Bay. The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong culinary skills.
Key Duties and Tasks:
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Manage kitchen operations
Job Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: 2 year to less than 3 years of professional cooking experience.
- Language: English.
- Cuisine specialties: Canadian, Thai, International, Vegan, Cantonese
