Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented National Construction Safety Officer to oversee safety protocols across multiple construction sites. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a culture of safety, and implement best practices to prevent accidents and injuries. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction safety standards, and proficiency in construction management software. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while maintaining the highest safety standards. NCSO who has at least 3 years experience or a Safety Officer on Construction sites who is willing to complete the Certified NCSO training.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety policies and procedures tailored to various construction sites.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Lead safety training sessions for site personnel, contractors, and subcontractors to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance documentation using construction management software.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, new regulations, and technological advancements related to construction safety.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction safety management or a related role within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction management software for tracking safety compliance and reporting.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, local building codes, and industry standards related to construction safety.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence positive safety culture across diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills for conducting training sessions and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. This position is integral to ensuring safe working environments across all projects nationwide while fostering a proactive approach to construction site safety management.
Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
