Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Millwork Project Coordinator to manage and coordinate projects from start to finish. This role involves close collaboration with internal team leads and our clients to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate will also support estimating, perform take-offs, and confidently read and interpret architectural drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all phases of millwork projects from initial approval to final installation.
- Serve as the main point of contact between clients, drafting, and shop teams.
- Attend site visits and client meetings when needed.
- Review and interpret architectural and millwork drawings.
- Prepare material take-offs and assist with estimating project costs.
- Create and manage project schedules and timelines.
- Track progress, flag issues early, and resolve delays with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Support change order management and scope tracking.
- Ensure a smooth handoff between sales, drafting, production, and installation.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in millwork or related construction/project coordination roles.
- Strong ability to read and interpret millwork and architectural drawings.
- Experience with take-offs and estimating (millwork-specific experience strongly preferred).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Proficient with MS Office and project management tools (experience with AutoCAD, Microvellum, and/or CRM software is a plus).
- Knowledge of custom cabinetry and millwork production processes is a major asset.
