We are seeking motivated, hardworking Concrete Laborers with experience in construction and/or agricultural construction to join our team in Red Deer, AB. The successful candidate will work as part of a crew to safely construct and finish high-quality concrete structures while maintaining productivity and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Build, erect, align, and dismantle wood and steel formwork for various concrete structures and foundations.
- Place steel cast inserts and set anchor bolts according to project specifications.
- Assist with site preparation, layout, and concrete pours.
- Rough level concrete using rakes, shovels, screeds, and trowels.
- Finish concrete surfaces by floating, troweling, edging, and brushing.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and survey stakes to establish correct grades and elevations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and workplace regulations.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Comfortable working at heights
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Physically fit and able to consistently lift 50+ lbs.
- Able to work in extreme conditions (cold, heat, dust, and dirty environments)
- Experience in grain terminals or feed mills is considered a strong asset
- Valid driver’s license
