Position Overview
Santec Canada is looking to add a Production Technician to the team. The purpose of this position is to assemble fiberoptic units to meet quality standards and customer satisfaction. This Production Technician will focus on optical alignment while ensuring that all work is completed in a professional and timely manner and while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities
- Optical alignment
- Splice fiberoptic cables
- Crimp cables
- Prepare, assemble and repair products and parts of varying complexity
- Arrange and organize optical fiber inside products
- Test and troubleshoot products and record results
- Create test reports
- Program PCB’s
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock of necessary parts
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Must have skills in optical alignment
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Good manual dexterity
- Time management skills
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills in MS Word and Excel
