Bandsaw Operator (Meat Processing & Food Manufacturing)
Location: Etobicoke ON
Pay: $24.50 per hour
Shift: Day Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Shift: Afternoon Shift – Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (+$1/hour shift premium)
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bandsaw Operator to join our food manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating bandsaw equipment, maintaining production targets, and ensuring products meet quality and food safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in meat processing, food production, manufacturing, or machine operation who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate bandsaw and meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently
- Meet daily production and quality targets
- Perform machine setup and basic troubleshooting as required
- Follow production instructions, GMPs, and food safety procedures
- Complete quality checks and ensure products meet customer specifications
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
- Report equipment issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Experience operating bandsaw, meat cutting, or food processing equipment preferred
- Knowledge of GMPs and food safety practices considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a cold environment (0°C to 4°C)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
