Go Beyond Academy is a premier, well-rounded education centre located in Richmond Hill. We are seeking enthusiastic and adaptable instructors to join our team for our Summer Programs and ongoing into the 2026–2027 academic school year. We are looking for specialists who can teach General Science (Grades 1–10) and/or senior-level Chemistry, Biology, and Physics (Grades 11–12).
This position offers an immediate start with flexible hours, moving into a daytime schedule for July and August, and continuing as an ongoing position with afternoon and weekend hours in September.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction: Deliver dynamic, engaging, and curriculum-aligned lessons in Science ranging from Elementary to Grade 12 levels.
- Senior Specialization: Provide expert instruction in high school sciences, with proficiency in Grade 11/12 Chemistry, Biology, and/or Physics being highly valued.
- Adaptability: Tailor your teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles, building student confidence and academic success.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Communication: Keep track of student progress and build strong, proactive partnerships with parents through regular feedback.
Qualifications
- Subject Expertise: Deep understanding and mastery of the Ontario Science curriculum concepts.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT), or current university students/recent graduates pursuing a degree in Education, Life/Physical Sciences, Engineering, or related fields are highly welcome.
- Experience: Previous classroom teaching, tutoring, or youth leadership experience is preferred.
- Core Skills: Exceptional communication skills, reliability, and a genuine passion for working with children and adolescents.
Work Schedule & Commitment (Ongoing)
This is a continuous, year-round opportunity with shifting seasonal hours:
- June (Immediate Start): Part-time (Afternoons and Weekends).
- Summer (July – August): Full-time or Part-time (Daytime shifts, Monday to Friday).
- Fall & Beyond (September Onwards): Ongoing Part-time (Afternoons and Weekends).
