Job Description
Function: Ensure Pakenham Community Early Learning Centre building, grounds, and contents are maintained.
Perform regular maintenance including, but not limited to, changing furnace filters, replacing light bulbs, testing emergency lights, minor drywall repair, minor painting.
Repair equipment and buildings as required and advise Executive Director when a licensed tradesperson should be arranged to complete repairs.
Repair broken or damaged toys and playground equipment, where qualified.
Monitor ongoing issues and advise Executive Director if any changes occur. (Property drainage, basement water, etc.)
Respond to calls for emergency work or work required per “Maintenance Log” (which complies various items requiring attention identified by Executive Director and Staff)
Able to work on assigned tasks primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays, when centre is closed, to avoid disruptions to programs.
Maintain outdoor equipment (shed, stroller storage, sunshades…)
Promptly report any Health and Safety issues to the Executive Director
