-Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated sonographer to join our medical team. As an sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients. This is an important role that requires attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate and high-quality imaging results.
Duties:
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients using specialized equipment
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions they may have
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images
- Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings as needed for optimal imaging
- Evaluate images for quality and clarity, ensuring that all necessary structures are visible
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze imaging results
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- THIS POSITION IS FOR SATURDAY ONLY!
- Certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)- Must be a member of Sonography Canada and CMRITO
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs
