POSITION SUMMARY:
An HR Assistant will serve as a first point of contact for employees. In this role, you will assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, maintain employee records, support HR projects and labor relations activities, and respond to both internal and external HR inquiries. Strong computer, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of HR functions, including HRIS systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of an HR diploma or certification, with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably within a unionized healthcare setting.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience within the Healthcare industry or a Unionized environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Provides comprehensive support to the Human Resources department across a wide range of responsibilities, projects, and initiatives
- Coordinates and schedules meetings, prepares agendas, records accurate minutes, and distributes correspondence as required
- Demonstrates strong self-motivation with excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across the organization
- Effectively manages competing priorities with strong organizational and time management skills
- Maintains professionalism with empathy and strong interpersonal skills, handling complex situations in a fair and consistent manner
