MCW Woodworking is currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill a Cabinetmaker / Shop Helper position at our newly relocated workshop in Trenton, Ontario.
We are a small family-run company with 5 employees and a steady workload. We are looking for someone with prior woodworking experience who wants a long-term opportunity with a growing company.
This is not an entry-level position. Applicants should already be comfortable working in a woodworking or cabinet shop environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Operate table saws, routers, sanders, and general woodworking equipment
- Assist with cabinet and millwork fabrication
- Use edge-banders and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist with finishing and spray booth operations, including lacquer application
- Help coordinate projects from raw material through installation
- Install cabinets and millwork on job sites
- Maintain quality standards and follow all Health & Safety procedures
- General shop duties including cleaning and material handling
- Assist with lifting materials and products up to 150 lbs with help when required
Requirements
- Previous woodworking or cabinet shop experience required
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately and perform basic shop math quickly
- Comfortable using power tools and woodworking machinery
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to read and speak English
- Clean and professional attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems independently
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check due to government and school board related work
Assets (Not Required)
- Experience with AutoCAD or cabinet design software
- Experience spraying lacquer or wood finishes
- Installation experience
