Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Maintain a clean work area, including cooking stations, utensils, and equipment.
- Participate in menu planning and development as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food service or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
