Currently, we are hiring a Dispatcher to join our Northern Alberta dispatch team. Reporting to the Operations Lead, NAB, this position will have a mixture of dispatching and administrative responsibilities. Potential candidates should reside in the Grande Prairie area, working from home until our new office in Grande Prairie is completed. This will then be an in-office position.
Duties Include:
- Coordinating daily workflow for trucks, trailers, and drivers
- Managing fleet resources according to availability and schedules
- Working with Maintenance on coordination and planning of equipment servicing
- Ensuring driver compliance for online orientations
- Planning and scheduling for plant interruptions, outages, haul diversions, holidays, etc.
- Reviewing driver documents for accuracy and approving billable & payable hours
- Reviewing dispatch schedules and plant details daily and strategically re-evaluating plans to respond to changes
- Communicating with customers and drivers to ensure optimal operations and customer satisfaction
- Site and field visits as required
Qualifications:
- 1-year experience in Dispatch, Operations, Logistics, or Scheduling
- Post-secondary education or training is an asset
- Advanced Google Drive and computer skills
- Experience with TMW system an asset
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills while under pressure
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- High level of attention to detail, with impeccable organizational abilities
- Process-driven individual, who excels at executing tasks from conception through to completion
