About the role
We’re hiring an Office Administrator to support a fast-paced, small-team environment where priorities can shift quickly, and everyone pitches in. This role is central to keeping day-to-day admin and financial processes organized and moving forward.
Farming/agriculture experience is an asset but not required.
Bookkeeping experience is required.
You’ll work closely with our bookkeeper to ensure information is accurate, organized, and ready helping the bookkeeping function run smoothly and efficiently.
What you’ll do
Office administration
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and general correspondence in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate scheduling, appointments, and office logistics for the team
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems to ensure documents are accessible and audit-ready
- Order and manage office supplies; support overall office efficiency and upkeep
- Provide general administrative support to team members as operational needs arise
Bookkeeping support
- Prepare and organize documentation for entry (invoices, receipts, statements, purchase records)
- Support accounts payable/receivable activities (tracking, follow-ups, filing, matching paperwork)
- Assist with bank/credit card reconciliations by ensuring transactions have proper backup and coding info
- Help maintain clean, consistent records so month-end is smooth
- Communicate with vendors/customers as needed to resolve missing info or paperwork
- Ensure finance files are maintained in an orderly manner and are readily accessible for review or audit
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an office administration or office management role is required
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced, small-team environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills (you like systems, checklists, and keeping things tidy)
- Proficiency with Excel/Sheets and email/calendar tools (Microsoft Office or Google Workspace)
- Experience with QuickBooks (Online/Desktop) or similar accounting software is strongly preferred
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to exercise good judgment with minimal supervision
Nice to have (assets)
Farming/agriculture experience or comfort working around agricultural operations (asset only)
Payroll exposure
Inventory, purchase order, or job-costing experience
Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
