We have an opening for the regular, full-time position of GIS Technical Assistant. The successful candidate will have a diploma in Geographic Information Systems, computer science, integrated planning technology or a related field and have strong customer service skills.
Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, the GIS Technical Assistant is responsible for performing technical duties related to the development and maintenance of GIS system data using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online, and online applications such as Survey123, Experience Builder and Instant Apps.
You have a minimum of one year of experience in GIS working within a local government setting. Knowledge of advanced geographic information concepts, mapping and survey principles, techniques and procedures is required. You will also possess working knowledge of relational databases and programming languages.
