Job Summary
Our team at Red's Diner in Kensington are seeking an experienced and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen operations, food safety, and Sauté/Flat Top experience, with a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. *We also offer kitchen tips on top of hourly rate.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including knife skills and food handling techniques
- Ensure timely delivery of dishes to meet service standards
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient kitchen operations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Line Cook(Sauté/Flat-Top)
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food handling
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Culinary experience with a focus on quality presentation and customer satisfaction
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
