Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Technologist is responsible for managing product quality throughout the full lifecycle, including design approval, packaging development, labelling, production approval, and delivery. The role ensures product accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company standards by coordinating with suppliers, internal teams, and inspection personnel.
This position involves daily communication with suppliers and partners located in Türkiye. To perform these duties effectively, the successful candidate must be able to communicate fluently in Turkish and English (spoken and written).
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain benchmark sample specifications for new product development.
- Define and update product quality targets and Receiving Inspection instructions.
- Develop and update packaging, pallet instructions, and container loading guidelines to support product stability and transportation efficiency.
- Produce digital and non‑digital label templates for new and existing items.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and collaborate with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
- Monitor corrective actions to minimize delays and ensure product quality.
- Train and support Receiving Inspectors and Rework personnel.
- Assist Finance and Purchasing teams with vendor evaluation, onboarding, and product approvals.
- Collect and interpret statistical and product‑related data.
- Use AutoCAD and process analysis tools to evaluate cycle time, task time, and process stability.
- Work with ERP/WMS systems; experience with SAP EWM/QM is considered an asset.
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and manufacturers to resolve issues and support special projects.
Ideal Qualifications
- Post‑secondary education in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Education in Business Administration is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of quality assurance or operational quality compliance experience; experience in a construction-related industry would be an asset
- Experience training and mentoring staff in high‑volume environments.
- Ability to interpret and apply ISO and ASTM standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (vLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, graphing).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with AutoCAD, layout/process design, and process analysis.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems; SAP experience is an asset.
- Experience with CRM or collaboration platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SharePoint) is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Fluency in Turkish and English (spoken and written) required due to daily communication with suppliers in Türkiye.
Working Conditions
- Work primarily performed in a standard office environment.
- Occasional bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, or pulling may be required.
- PPE may be required for certain tasks.
- Moderate manual dexterity and visual attention required.
