Overview
This is a full-time on-site role for a Livestock Laborer located in Albany, PE. The livestock laborer will be responsible for duties related to the daily care and maintenance of livestock, including feeding, monitoring animal health, cleaning facilities, and ensuring proper sanitation standards. The role includes assisting with breeding, birthing, and routine care procedures, as well as maintaining accurate records of livestock health and activity. The position involves physical labor and requires adherence to safety protocols.
Job Duties
- Monitor and supervise the condition and performance of swine.
- Monitor and supervise the health status of the hogs, identifying sick animals.
- Administer drugs (including iron), perform vaccinations and necessary treating of the swine.
- Record keeping ( breeding, farrowing, litter size, vaccinations, etc.)
- Coordinate, monitor and supervise the work of other specialized livestock workers.
- Maintain and oversee the cleanliness and sanitation in all units, equipment and supplies.
- Any other general farm duties related to the farming operation.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
