We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Richmond
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for:
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and Verification of plant compliance to GMPs, HACCP, and other regulations
- Quality Assurance checking of raw material – monitoring, record keeping, verification
- Quality Assurance checking of production – monitoring & record keeping, verification
- Quality Assurance checking of plant sanitation – monitoring & record keeping, verification
- Monitoring and hands-on training of HACCP monitors, sanitation crew, supervisors, etc.
- Conducting training programs for employees on topics such as new employee hygiene training, food safety, sanitation, HACCP, etc.
- Updating QA reference samples on a daily basis
- Reporting immediately to QA Manager & plant management if processes, test results, record keeping, etc., do not meet specifications, GMP’s, or other required limits.
- Proactively working with QA Manager & plant management or supervisors to improve practices or products
- Proactively working to improve any quality or food safety Programs
- Fulfilling any Customer Service requirements or requests of Plant QA
- Other QA duties as required
Required Skills and Experience:
- 1-3 years in a HACCP environment
- Diploma or Degree in food science or related discipline
- Flexibility to work early shift (4:30AM start); During initial week, shifts will be either 7:30AM - 3.30PM or 8.30AM - 4.30PM; Weekly off days are Tuesday and Saturday.
- Ability to work on Sunday

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Experience:
- HACCP: 1 year (preferred)
