Shine Bright Pediatric Services is expanding our team of passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)! We are offering an independent contractor position which will allow you to set your own schedule and choose your caseload. You will have the flexibility to take on as many clients as you desire and control how much you make.
Position
- Speech-Language Pathologist
- One year contract
- Part-time after-school hours available with the option to grow to a full-time caseload as desired
- Virtual, in-person or hybrid services at your discretion
- In-person services can be provided throughout Durham Region at your discretion (Whitby, Ajax, Pickering, Oshawa, Courtice, Bowmanville, Newcastle)
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or Speech and Language Sciences
- In good standing with the College of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Eligible for professional liability insurance
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle if providing in-home services
- Preference for candidate with literacy experience or an interest in providing literacy services
Job Description
- You may choose to provide services virtually, in-person, or hybrid
- Provide speech and language services for pediatric clients
- Conduct initial assessment and reassessments using formal and informal assessment tools
- Provide direct treatment
- Provide parent training and coaching
- Collaborate with parents and professionals regarding client goals and strategies
- Set achievable and measurable goals in collaboration with families
- Record detailed progress notes
