Job purpose
As a barista, your role is to provide an exceptional experience for our guests through prompt service, incomparable product knowledge, maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment, and doing so artfully.

● Food Safe Level, within 60 days of hire
Duties and responsibilities
● Holds self and others accountable to Artigiano’s guiding principles and policies, including those for service & product standards, safety, security, and cash handling, to ensure the safety of all employees on shift
● Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
● Inspires a customer-centric culture in store by ensuring Every Guest Leaves Brighter
● Assists with new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging feedback as needed (peer support)
● Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in employee morale and performance and communicating them to a manager to improve the employee and customer experience
● Aligns with store leadership on goals and objectives for fiscal year
● Ensures visual, cleanliness, and food safe standards are followed and maintained
● Maintains regular and punctual attendance
● Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team
● Actively seeks information regarding new and existing products, promotions, and programs
● Owns self-development and provides continuous feedback to colleagues and Leadership Team
Experience Required
● Experience in a café or food service environment preferred, but not required
● Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new things and be exposed to all aspects of the store
● Demonstrated commitment to creating an exceptional team member and guest experience
● Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
● Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 20 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
● Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and early mornings (if required)

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour
