Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Sheet Metal Worker to join our crew. This role involves the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal components and structures in strict accordance with engineering drawings and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication & Installation: Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products for diverse project sites.
Blueprint Precision: Interpret and work directly from mechanical drawings and blueprints.
Equipment Operation: Operate shop tools including shears, brakes, rolls, punches, and various cutting tools.
Layout & Assembly: Measure, mark, and layout sheet metal for accurate fabrication; perform fitting, forming, and assembly of metal components.
Quality Control: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets our high-quality standards.
Collaboration: Work with supervisors, engineers, and team members to solve fabrication challenges and follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
License: Licensed Sheet Metal Worker (308A or 308R Low Rise).
Gas Ticket: Gas Technician G2 is highly preferred (but not necessary).
Experience: Proven experience in residential, commercial, and industrial sheet metal installation.
Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of cutting, bending, forming, and assembly; experience with standard shop equipment.
Attributes: Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to manage tasks efficiently while working independently.
Safety & Communication: WHMIS Certification and excellent teamwork/communication skills.
