Duties

- Decorate cakes and pastries using cake decorating techniques to meet presentation standards
- Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Package baked items for delivery or takeout orders while ensuring quality control
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace and equipment
- Support the kitchen team with general food prep tasks as needed
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and restaurant policies at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or culinary preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong cake decorating skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform food preparation efficiently under pressure during busy service hours
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with staff or customers regarding menu items or special requests
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, packaging methods, and food industry best practices
