Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role involves monitoring property, preventing loss, and responding promptly to incidents. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observational skills, and experience in surveillance or law enforcement. This is a paid position committed to maintaining a secure environment through proactive security measures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to oversee activity across the premises
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or other unlawful activities
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies, including medical incidents or safety hazards
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities and security breaches
- Control access points by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes when necessary
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and surveillance techniques
- Strong observational skills with the ability to detect unusual or suspicious activity
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and effectively
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure during emergencies
- Must pass background checks and any required training certifications
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications are a plus
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
