AvantDerm is a leading dermatology clinic located in Toronto’s historic Distillery District. We are recognized as Canada’s first dermatology practice to introduce a daily rapid access model for referred patients, while also offering a comprehensive menu of medical, cosmetic, and clinical trial services. Our clinic is renowned for its high standards of care, efficient operations, and exceptional patient experience.
We are currently seeking a college-educated, full-time Medical Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical setting and brings both confidence and compassion to every patient interaction.

THE ROLE: What You’ll Do
As the face of AvantDerm, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth front-desk operations, efficient clinic workflow, and outstanding patient experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a busy front desk and high-volume phones with professionalism and warmth
- Greeting patients, coordinating check-ins and check-outs, and managing patient flow
- Scheduling appointments, processing referrals, and maintaining accurate EMRs
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and fellow administrators to support clinic operations
- Managing incoming/outgoing faxes, pharmacy requests, and third-party communications
- Troubleshooting administrative issues with initiative and attention to detail
- Special projects as assigned that fit your advancement goals and skills.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Your Qualifications
- At least 2 years of medical administrative experience, with substantial time spent in a walk-in clinic setting.
- Proficient with EMR systems (Oscar EMR experience is a major asset)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and Ontario’s healthcare system
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay composed under pressure
- Tech-savvy with confidence in using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, EMRs, eFax, and clinic tech tools
- Professionalism, discretion, and a service-oriented mindset are non-negotiable
- Organizational expertise: detail-oriented, diligent, tidy, quick learner, and a critical thinker.
