Department: Laboratory
Join our laboratory team and contribute to quality patient care through the performance, analysis, and reporting of diagnostic testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, as well as limited STAT Microbiology testing during off-hours. Responsibilities include specimen collection, processing, testing, result interpretation and reporting, quality control, equipment maintenance, and adherence to established laboratory procedures and safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Experience/Knowledge:
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO), with authorization to practice in the specialties of Biochemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Science, and Microbiology
- New graduates who have successfully completed an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program and are awaiting certification examination and/or CMLTO registration are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates may be hired in a non-registered capacity and will transition to Medical Laboratory Technologist status upon obtaining CMLTO registration
- Recent relevant laboratory experience within the last three (3) years
- Demonstrated competency in Chemistry, Hematology, and Transfusion Science, with the ability to perform limited STAT Microbiology testing during off-hours
- Knowledge of Meditech Laboratory Information System preferred

- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
