We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Swamper to join our team. The Swamper plays a vital role in supporting our operations by assisting with various tasks related to transportation and logistics. This position requires a proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading cargo from trucks.
- Ensure that all materials are secured and organized during transport.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area, including vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate logistics and schedules.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while on the job.
- Provide support during deliveries, including helping with navigation and route planning.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is an asset, but not required.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of transportation logistics is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license may be required depending on specific job duties.
