Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled CAD Technician to join our engineering and design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing detailed technical drawings and schematics using industry-standard CAD software. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects across construction, civil engineering, and architectural domains, contributing to the successful execution of complex designs. The CAD Technician will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient documentation throughout project lifecycles.
Duties
- Develop precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks based on project requirements.
- Create detailed schematics, construction plans, and technical documentation adhering to industry standards.
- Assist in drafting layouts for civil infrastructure projects utilizing Civil 3D and other specialized software.
- Incorporate client specifications and feedback into revised drawings while maintaining accuracy and clarity.
- Support the review of design models for consistency, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to translate conceptual designs into detailed technical drawings suitable for construction or manufacturing.
- Maintain organized digital files of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation for easy retrieval and version control.
- Utilize 2D animation skills when necessary to visualize complex design concepts or project sequences.
- Ensure all drawings meet safety standards, building codes, and project deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
- Strong knowledge of drafting principles, schematics creation, and technical documentation standards.
- Construction or civil engineering experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Civil 3D for civil infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Ability to interpret architectural/engineering plans and translate them into accurate CAD models.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision in technical drawings.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of 2D animation techniques is a plus but not required.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
