Drama & Social Science Teacher (Full-Time – One-Year Contract)
Kuper Academy is seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Drama & Social Science Teacher to join our high school team for a full-time, one-year contract position.
The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging instruction in both Drama and Social Science while fostering creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and a love of learning.
Responsibilities
- Teach high school Drama and Social Science courses.
- Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons aligned with curriculum expectations.
- Create a positive, dynamic, and structured classroom environment.
- Assess and evaluate student learning, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression through dramatic arts.
- Support students in developing critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills in Social Science.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development.
- Contribute to extracurricular programs, including school productions and drama-related activities, when applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification (or eligibility to teach in Quebec).
- Experience teaching Drama and/or Social Science at the secondary level is an asset.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, organized, and committed to student success.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic school community.
