Herzig Eye Institute is a state-of-the-art facility specializing in cataract and refractive procedures in Ottawa, Canada. We are presently seeking an energetic, highly motivated RPN to work in our surgery centre.
The successful candidate must have a desire to help enrich the patient experience from the first point of contact, through the procedure itself and to the final post-operative examination. They must also have excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
· Ensure overall efficiency of the OR and able to rotate for OR nursing roles; scrub and circulating
Required Skills / Aptitudes
· Must have valid Registered Practical Nurse license
· Customer service driven – focused on providing an exceptional patient experience
· Excellent written and communication skills required, (conversational French an asset)
· Previous experience working as a surgical nurse (ophthalmology preferred)
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
