As we continue to expand our municipal and environmental services portfolio in Western Canada, we are seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day field operations, client service delivery, workforce management, and operational excellence.
Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator will oversee the daily coordination of field personnel, equipment, client communication, and operational activities across municipal and environmental service projects. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery while maintaining strong relationships with clients, employees, and subcontractors.
This position requires a hands-on leader who enjoys working in both office and field environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily field operations and workforce deployment.
- Supervise field employees and provide day-to-day leadership.
- Conduct regular site visits and safety inspections.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client requirements.
- Coordinate scheduling, shift coverage, and emergency staffing requirements.
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and training of new employees.
- Maintain accurate operational records and prepare client reports.
- Coordinate equipment, vehicles, tools, and PPE requirements.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and employee concerns.
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions when required.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of operations, field supervision, or municipal services experience.
- Experience leading field-based teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments year-round.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel within Southern Alberta as required.
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
Experience:
- field supervisor: 3 years (required)
- Waste & Recycling: 2 years (preferred)
