Housekeeping Room Attendant

The Inn on Officers' Garden is looking for passionate and experienced Housekeeping Room Attendant. The Inn on Officers' Garden is a Boutique Hotel here in Calgary featuring multiple outlets, events and guest suites.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Clean assigned guestrooms to company standards, including tasks such as:
- Making beds and dusting surfaces
- Removing soiled linens and retrieving fresh ones from linen closets
- Vacuuming carpets and rugs
- Cleaning bathrooms and interior windows
- Replenishing in-room supplies
- Use cleaning products properly and safely, while wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Go above and beyond to provide personalized and memorable guest experiences.
- Respect and protect guest privacy and belongings while maintaining high service standards.
- Restock housekeeping storages and supply closets daily to ensure readiness.
- Track and update room status and assignments throughout the day.
- Promptly report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate department.
- Follow all hotel and departmental policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.
- Deliver friendly, courteous, and professional service to all guests.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including key sign-in/out protocols and handling of lost and found items.
- Regularly clean public restrooms, lobbies, hallways, and dispose of trash as needed.
- Support general maintenance by assisting with tasks such as moving furniture, cleaning mirrors and windows, and vacuuming.
- Communicate maintenance or repair needs for guest rooms and public areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in all public areas of the property.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to resident emergencies and incontinence incidents, following established safety protocols.
- Perform laundry, general housekeeping, and room cleaning duties as assigned.
- Uphold safety, sanitation, and environmental practices in line with the hotel’s policies and standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong ability to anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, professional, and welcoming service
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
Desired Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (GED).
- One-year prior experience in a similar field or Housekeeping is an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills and a pleasing attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 30 lbs
- Occasional use of stairs, and ramps
- Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, including bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects
Work Schedule:
- Shifts may include:
- Day
- Evening
- Weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be able to work flexible hours based on business needs
