Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Red Seal Journeyman/woman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical expertise, residential and commercial experience, with the ability to interpret complex schematics and blueprints. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across various projects, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with power tools, hand tools and low voltage systems, contributing to the successful completion of renovation and new construction projects.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute wiring and installation tasks accurately.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform electrical work efficiently.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools to identify faults in low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Work on renovation projects, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and building codes.
- Install and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems.
- Assist in the installation of low voltage wiring for communication systems and other electronic devices.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and handyman professionals to complete projects seamlessly.
- Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Red Seal Journeyman/woman Electrician certification.
- Proven experience as a commercial and residential electrician with a strong background in construction or renovation projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and low voltage wiring.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices within the industry.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently using schematics and diagnostic equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment or materials when necessary.
- Handyman experience is considered an asset for versatile project support.
