Surrey Hearing Care is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Full-Time Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities
- Providing an exceptional client experience focused on compassionate counselling, product education, and helping patients and their families navigate the transition to hearing solutions.
- Conducting comprehensive hearing loss evaluations and diagnostic assessments to precisely identify hearing loss and understand each client’s unique lifestyle needs.
- Recommending, selecting, programming, and fitting advanced hearing aids and assistive listening devices to ensure optimal comfort, performance, and personalization.
- Providing continuous care for your existing clients, including adjustments and technical troubleshooting to ensure a happy and long-term relationship.
- Managing verbal and written correspondence related to client care with clients, their families, physicians, team members, and third-party payees.
- Identifying third-party funding eligibility and navigating the clinical protocols and billing processes for the Ministry (MSS), NIHB, WorkSafeBC (WCB), VAC (DVA), IFHP, and WorkBC ATS.
- Ensuring clinical accuracy and safety by taking precise ear impressions for custom molds, maintaining strict hygienic protocols, and keeping up-to-date, confidential electronic records (HearWare).
- Collaborating closely with a supportive, multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth day-to-day clinic operations and make a true difference in the lives of your clients.
Qualifications
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals in BC (CSHBC)
- 1–2 years of clinical experience (new graduates encouraged to apply)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Empathy and patient-centred communication
- Critical thinking and clinical decision-making
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GSuite; HearWare experience is a plus
- Multilingual skills are an asset

Pay: $28.62-$45.00 per hour
