Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Class 1 Driver specializing in Truck and Pup and End Dump operations. Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 trucks with Truck and Pup or End Dump configurations, adhering strictly to safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels
- Maintain accurate logs of all trips, freight movements, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site personnel, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries and pickups
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures to prevent accidents or incidents on the road
Skills
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for truck and pup/end dump operations with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particulary with heavy-duty trucks such as Truck and Pup or End Dump Trailers
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securement techniques
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting on heavy vehicles
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate machinery, and perform inspections efficiently
