Highbell Hospitality Group is looking for dependable, detail-oriented Prep Cooks to join our CookUnity production kitchen.
This is not your typical restaurant line cook position. Our team produces chef-designed meals at scale, where consistency, organization, and precision are just as important as speed. Every ingredient is prepared to exact specifications before moving into production.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Vegetable preparation and precision knife work.
- Washing, peeling, slicing, dicing, julienning, chiffonade, and portioning ingredients.
- Preparing proteins and ingredients according to standardized recipes.
- Weighing and portioning ingredients accurately.
- Assisting with batch preparation for large-scale meal production.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation throughout your shift.
- Following food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
- Supporting the production team to ensure daily targets are achieved.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous professional kitchen or food production experience preferred.
- Strong knife skills are required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Food Handler Certification is considered an asset.
Compensation
Starting wage ranges from $17.60–$21.00 per hour, depending on experience, knife skills, and overall kitchen experience.
