Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Customer Service/Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role is vital in ensuring a positive experience for our customers while supporting the daily operations of our establishment. Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to learn. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer interaction within a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders promptly
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately and securely
- Prepare simple food items as needed, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station and dining area in compliance with sanitation guidelines
- Manage food handling responsibilities with attention to proper hygiene practices
- Assist in serving customers at the counter or tables when required
- Ensure all food preparation and service meet health regulations and safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Kitchen or food preparation experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Prior experience with serving or cashiering roles is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: $16.60-$18.00 per hour
