Treat a Wide Variety of Patients
You'll have the opportunity to work with patients experiencing:
- Neck and back pain
- Shoulder, hip, and knee conditions
- Sports injuries
- Motor vehicle accident (MVA) injuries
- Workplace injuries (WSIB)
- Chronic pain conditions
- Headaches and TMJ dysfunction
- Relaxation and stress-related tension
- Deep tissue and therapeutic massage needs
Additional certifications such as cupping or myofascial release are welcome but not required.
Responsibilities
As a Registered Massage Therapist, you will:
- Perform comprehensive assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver safe, effective, patient-centred massage therapy
- Educate patients on home care and injury prevention
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Juvonno EMR
- Follow CMTO standards of practice and ethical guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized treatment room
- Collaborate professionally with other healthcare providers when appropriate
QualificationsRequired
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), or eligible for registration before starting
- Professional liability insurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate
- Commitment to high-quality patient care
Preferred
- Experience or interest in therapeutic and deep tissue massage
- Interest in rehabilitation, sports injuries, MVA, and chronic pain management
- Evening and Saturday availability is considered an asset
