Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated CanSkate Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging skating lessons to children and beginners, helping them develop fundamental skating skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Duties
- Plan and conduct CanSkate lessons
- Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates participants to learn and enjoy skating.
- Demonstrate proper skating techniques and safety protocols to students.
- Monitor participants’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed during lessons, including proper use of equipment and safe skating practices.
- Help bring a inclusive, welcoming skating lesson.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Promote a fun, inclusive environment that fosters confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship among skaters.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in teaching or coaching children is highly desirable (not needed).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage young learners.
- In good standing as a skating coach with Skate Canada.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
