Job description
We are seeking an experienced full time Dispatcher to join our team. In collaboration with Management, and other departments as required, the Dispatcher is responsible for the day to day organization of drivers and trucks to the field.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinate all aspects of truck movement
- Organize equipment and drivers
- Handle all incoming calls to dispatch using professional telephone etiquette
- Record hauling requirements from customers
- Provide timely support and information to company drivers including instructions to job locations.
- Coordinate with OPs Managers, as necessary, to ensure field issues are rectified and customers and operators satisfied.
- Work with maintenance staff to make sure truck maintenance is prioritized.
- Audit field tickets and enter appropriate info
- Make sure field staff hand in paperwork on time.
- Checking / monitoring weight and time bands.
- Attention to detail and diligent gathering of information for specialized job
- Maintain honest communication with drivers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong Leadership skills
- Experienced oilfield dispatcher
- Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage drivers effectively and efficiently
- Willingness to go above and beyond job duties as necessary (i.e. run trucks, swamping, etc.)
- Positive and team-orientated attitude

- Oil & gas: 3 years (required)

- Class 3 License or Higher (preferred)
